About Golden Gate Toastmasters

Our story, your stage

San Francisco's oldest Toastmasters club, helping people find their voice since 1936.

Still going strong since 1936

When you're in the spotlight, do you freeze up or start rambling — never quite finding the right words? Or maybe you're already a confident speaker, but you want to go from good to great. If so, you're in the right place.

Since 1936, Golden Gate Toastmasters has helped generations of speakers find their voice. As San Francisco's oldest continuously operating Toastmasters club, we've spent 90 years doing one thing really well: creating a supportive space where people practice, grow, and build lasting confidence.

Every week, our members get hands-on speaking opportunities, constructive feedback, and a community of people on the same journey. Many have also found genuine friendships along the way.
